Documentaries

For all the problems that global warming will cause, it sure has been a boon for the geology documentaries. Fearless Planet: Alaska on Discovery is a really amazing look at the state. It does make it seem like Alaska is totally covered in ice, but glaciers (or glay-sea-ers) are explained fairly well as are the general tectonics of Southern Alaska. I'd love to see it in HD: the shots are stunning. The hang-gliding, kayaking, and skiing are a bit over the top, not something I'd ever do, but it makes for great television.
